About

Liberia School of Law
Liberia School of Law (LSL) received its accreditation on July 10, 2024 from the National Commission on Higher Education of Liberia to offer a course of study leading to the Juris Doctor Degree. Since then, LSL has recruited a first-rate faculty of Liberian and US based lawyers.  In September, LSL administered its first admission test and will commence classes on November 4, 2024.  With the establishment of LSL, Liberia, for the first time, has a second law school.  Prior to LSL, the only law school in the country was the state-owned Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, at the University of Liberia established in 1954.

Mission Statement
To offer legal training comparable to that provided by top-ranked law schools in the United States and other parts of the world.

Vision Statement
To produce competent and innovative legal practitioners, capable of advancing positive social and policy changes.

Why LSL
Thousands of students obtain undergraduate degrees in Liberia yearly, with limited graduate study or professional education opportunities. Our goal is to provide these students an opportunity to acquire a good legal education. As a privately run institution, LSL aims to operate efficiently with a competent but streamlined staff that employs modern technology to reduce cost and produce optimal results.  Our faculty consists of top-notch academicians and seasoned legal practitioners capable of inspiring our graduates to use their legal skills to promote democratic governance and inclusive development.
